Nd:GdVO₄ crystals can be specified with different Nd³⁺ dopant concentrations, crystal orientations, dimensions, end-face geometries, surface quality requirements, transmitted wavefront tolerances, and optical coatings.
Nd:GdVO₄ (neodymium-doped gadolinium orthovanadate) is a laser gain crystal used in diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) laser systems. Its principal laser emission is near 1063 nm, with strong pump absorption around 808 nm.
As a tetragonal vanadate crystal, Nd:GdVO₄ provides linearly polarized laser emission, typically parallel to the crystallographic c-axis. It combines strong pump absorption with favorable thermal properties for compact diode-pumped laser designs.
Nd:GdVO₄ can also support laser transitions in the 1.34 µm region and can be used in frequency-converted solid-state laser systems with suitable nonlinear crystals and resonator configurations.
